Sometimes after we’ve put in a good 8 hour day, Tony will roll up his sleeves, slam a red bull and kick everything into high gear for two more hours of high energy, full contact Zany Booth fun time. These photos are always my favorite ones to edit through. If you’re one of our clients and you have a Zany Booth scheduled for your event – I’m just going to warn you that there is always one guest who comes to us and asks if they can have their picture taken with no pants on. In my opinion, this is a sign that your party is going well. I’d like to note that this kind of behavior is not something that we suggest or encourage, but we don’t exactly discourage it either. Being in the Zany Booth is like being in the nest, you’re safe there. Guests who get inside the booth can feel free to express themselves in whatever way they please, without judgment. So if you’re the crazy guy at the wedding with no pants on, step inside our booth and get Zany! I’ve omitted the pants-less picture from this blog post – but oh, there definitely was one. We’ve been doing ALOT of Zany Booth’s lately. I particularly like Julie and Mike’s because of their ‘naked guy’ friend. Seriously, every party needs to have a guest like that!

Every booth we do is a little different, because we gather props from the wedding and location once we arrive. Sometimes a bride will provide things that accentuate the feel of the day. Julie had an Anthropolie Style Wedding (so hot right now) – so she purchased these mustaches from ETSY (a brides best friend) for her guests to use in the booth. SMART!

When we were contacted by Brandon Kidd to bring our Zany-ness to his wedding celebration – well, we were flattered. Flattered to be considered for the job and flattered to be working alongside an amazing cast of folks that make this industry such a fun and dynamic space to be performing in. I’m just going to run through the quick list. I think we’ve mentioned Drew a few times already – but in case you didn’t catch it … he’s our favorite go-to if you want a stylish video crafted of your wedding. The name of his company is Shady Tree Films. Eva Chiou is a new friend of ours, she’s responsible for coordinating this beautiful event. You can reserve Eva for your own event by visiting her website at Red Velvet Occasions. I think it’s also important to mention that Eva is also the face behind the magazine Utterly Engaged. We’re working on a fun project with UE, we can’t wait to show it to you with next month’s Men’s Issue. Um, Lauryl Lane – completely blew me away with her creative floral designs…..something like I’ve never seen before actually. I think that it’s hard to go without noticing the amazing backdrop that Brandon constructed to match theme of his wedding. Bravo Brandon – BRAVo! Such creativity was brought to the table at this event. If you’d like to see more about how B built the backdrop, he talks about it here.

Finally, I’d like to congratulate Kristin and Brandon – even in the extremely short amount of time we had to work with them – it is evident that these are two EXTRAORDINARY people who were clearly put on this earth to find each other and share their love.

About a month ago we photographed a party that was styled by Jennifer Sbranti, creator of the ever-popular and always fabulous – Hostess With The Mostess website. People who run big blogs with lots of traffic and never miss a day of posting….those people fascinate me! If you’ve never been to Jennifer’s blog – you have to go check it out…..it’s chock full of endless inspiration for the modern hostess. You should never throw a party (even if it’s just dinner with the in-laws) without visiting her website first. Shes’ so Martha and she’ll make you want to be that way too.

Well, we’ve been so fortunate that Jennifer has shared some of what she’s created with us by giving us a feature here and there. We are so thankful for Jennifer! Then when she asked me to WRITE SOMETHING for HWTM….?#*!?…..ok, well now I’m inspired! So check out this little article I did on creating your own Party Photo Booth.
