These are Kerry O’s kids. The first image showcases these two boys’ personalities just perfectly. You can immediately tell which of these kids is going to jump off the couch, pretend to punch himself in the NUTS and fake fall on the ground in agony. In the middle pic I asked the boys to “just be cool”. In true ‘Cool Like Fonze’ form, Diego thought it best to give a thumbs up for the camera. So ADORABLY cool!

Same Mother/Daughter duo from below…..this one was my favorite from their beach shoot. Am I the only one that’s bummed about this summer project to paint all the life guard stations in a bunch of wacky colors? Call me a traditionalist, but I’m quite fond of the standard light blue muted tones. It makes for pretty pictures….

In honor of Mother’s Day I’m posting this shot of a cool Mother/Daughter Duo. We were going through options of what to wear for the shoot. After numerous changes….this is what we came up with. I love the simplicity. And I love going topless!!! Because I work from home, I can do that from time to time. Haha, now there’s a good visual for ya.

Jill and Natalie’s friendship is one of a Classic Facebook re-introduction story. They grew up together in Phoenix, AZ and were even part of the same Brownie Troop: 142. As sometimes happens, they lost touch over the years. Enter: Modern Technology and FACEBOOK to reunite two old friends. They have now worked together on a few different jobs for Pregnancy Magazine, (Natalie plans celebrity baby showers for a living). I know Jill had a great time photographing the Klein Family down on Abbott Kinney a few weeks back…. and judging from the pictures Natalie and her family had fun too. I just sit here typing happy that the two of them are back in touch. ~T

My camera slapped me a super big high-five when I first introduced it to this family. And then my digital dark room did a back-flip when I showed it the images. But had I not been tipped by Lisa’s sister that this family was covered in ink – we may have gone through the whole shoot in those beautiful (but boring) clothes. My vote goes to photograph TATTOOS and SKIN every time! Just Gorgeous you guys! Thanks for giving me opportunity to capture such a cool family. xoxox ~J

Michelle and Presley drove up from Tucson to do a shoot with me at the SUPER AWESOME Burton Barr Library in downtown Phoenix. Presley is 4. What I’ve come to find through all my friends who have (or have had) 4 year old boys is that they don’t sit still. EVER. It makes for a RAD shoot. I love the energy that a 4 year old boy can lend …. There are literally thousands of opportunities to catch your subject in a new pose….that is, if you’re quick enough (: Here’s just a few of my favs….
