We shot the second-half of Ginny and Mike’s Engagment at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (or LACMA). They have a rad exhibit out front that consists of over 100 gas lamps. Because of time constraints, we weren’t able to stay and shoot when it was all lit up at night. But perhaps the 365 will be starting again soon [with sincere hopes of finishing soon] and we can look forward to some fun things……just sayin’. ~J
Ginny and Mike’s Engagement Photos were captured in the sunny atmosphere that embraces Venice Beach on a colorful block of both laid back and trendy shops that is known as Abbot Kinney Blvd. It’s so nice to live in a place where it’s warm year-round. A place where you can wear halter tops in October and flip-flops in December and whenever you step outside you’re met with a giant hug from the sun. I know that people complain about missing “the seasons” but that’s what road-trips are for! Living here makes me feel like I’m on vacation year-round. Michelle and Abdulla are right at the tippy top of our nomination list for the Coolest Couple Award. If I listed ALL the reasons why they’re so cool – people would be like, gosh JIll, why you gotta be so braggy about your clients? So I’ll just pick my top three:
1. They’re both Architects (Art Vandelay, you wish you were that cool).
2. They’re getting married at the de Young Museum – nuff said.
3. Abdulla and his family reside in the UAE and they’re all flying in to SF especially for the wedding.
Tell me this is not going to be a good time? Because it’s going to be an awesome time! One thing I forgot to mention….Michelle and Abdulla are kind, genuine and caring people…you can just feel it from the moment you first shake hands. All of that kindness translates into PURE BEAUTY through the camera lens. We feel so blessed that we get to capture your day, M&A. We think you both are completely wonderful in so many ways and we can’t wait to share the day with you and your family and all the people who love you!
