It’s day two of the project, and I still feel fired up. This image was captured around the corner from our house at a building that is the home to the Ground Zero Marketing Offices. No photoshop on this one – just reflection in glass and existing light was used.
The night before my birthday, Tony and I had dinner with the Bui Brothers…who are our new photography friends in LA. (I’m such a big fan of anything these guys do). Both Lan and Vu started 365 projects at the beginning of the 2009 year. What the heck is a 365 project you say? Well, for a photographer it means producing one image per day that complies with a set of rules that you’ve defined for yourself and your 365 project. For instance, Lan and his wife Bonnie have started a 365 to produce one picture per day of Bonnie. Their rules are not so strict….they allow guest photographers to capture the image, sometimes they post an image that was taken at a different date and time altogether. The main goal – post one image per day of Bonnie. Now Lan’s brother, Vu, is a different story. Vu has a friend named Natalie. From what I understand, Natalie has ONE picture of her produced per day by ONE person only…Vu. According to their rules, that photograph must be produced between midnight and midnight of the day it is posted. They have an exclusive partnership with a strict set of rules that forces them to be more creative…which is the name of the game.
Enter Jill and Tony.
With Lan and Vu’s encouragement we have officially hopped on the 365 train people! Our Project starts on my birthday (today) and runs until the next birthday (Oh God, I’m already starting to regret this). Our rules? Oh goodness, I really HATE RULES, so we try not to name too many. But the scope is this….we will be posting a Jill + Tony 365 Collaborative. Some pictures are of Jill and some pictures are of Tony. Some taken by JIll. Some by Tony. Some will be self-portraits. Some will be taken by Guest Photographers. ALL Photos will run through the Jillian Bisinger Super Duper Sparkle and Shine Quality check. Hello! If I don’t look at least a little bit cute, then it doesn’t make the blog (:

Steph Henry is an old friend of mine from way back in our college Pi Phi days. She recently came to visit LA and needed some photography done. No problem. What she didn’t know was that I had a very messy office that needed some attention. You see, Stephanie is a Professional Organizer by trade….so I worked out a little deal with the fine lady. All I have to say is WOW! This woman is MAGIC! In 3 short hours we had my space looking like…. duh, a Professional Organizer had been there! Unfortunately (and conveniently) I didn’t take any before and after photos of my office for you to see- but I’m happy to share some of the images I did for Steph….
