I went to High School and Junior High with Marc Montini. Many people reading this blog know who he is. There is nothing more fun to me than photographing the families of the people I grew up with! As you can tell by the photos – Marc’s family is a lot of fun! We started our shoot at the Scottsdale Civic Center  – but of course I naturally gravitated over to the Mondrian Hotel. We just wandered on to the property and after shooting there for about 15 minutes,  one of the girls said, “this looks like a hotel” – I had no idea it was located right there!!!! What a fun surprise!

I feel like Krista is a fairly private person, so without giving too much away about her situation – I would just like to mention that she messed up her foot pretty bad. She had to do her entire engagement session on crutches…but you would never know it by looking at the photos! There was none of the usual running, jumping, pouncing, twirling, rolling, flipping, kicking or hugging that I rely on with my typical shoot. Even still, Krista and Eric played it like a couple of pros. We photographed this shoot in The Presidio of SF. Thanks from being such a trooper Krista! We can’t wait until the wedding finally happens!

Carina and Willie live in Foster City, which is a great little community built on a giant maze of man-made ponds. When they said they wanted to do their engagement photos here – I was thinking there would be a lot of grass and water in the shots. Somehow we managed to capture a more industrial side of this cute little town. Thanks for having us out Carina and Willie…we had a great time with you!
